Art is within
This is the philosophy of the School of Carolina Ballet Theatre. Using the Multiple Intelligence Teaching Approach (MITA), we strive to hone in on each student's unique voice and build their individual character. Ballet is used as a base to form the dancer's technique, work ethic and pose. The best attributes of all dance forms are used to establish a competitive foundation in the dance world. In addition to dance, the wellness of the body, mind and spirit is our mainstay. Whether or not the student chooses to pursue a career in dance, The School of Carolina Ballet Theatre will nurture the artist within through dance.
Live through dance
A cultural asset to Greenville's community, SCBT has one of the South's newest "showcase" facilities. Located less than one mile from Haywood Mall, SCBT offers convenience as well as excellence. SCBT is proud to present all of its major performances at the Peace Center for Performing Arts.
Grow through dance
Because of a relationship with the Carolina Ballet Theatre, students are able to gain the experience of performing onstage with professional artists. This relationship broadens the dance development range to help students of all ages turn into exceptional young artists.
