What is the S.T.A.G.E.D. program?The S.T.A.G.E.D program stands for Students who Technically Aspire Great Experiences in Dance. As a S.T.A.G.E.D. member you will participate in technique classes of ballet and modern specifically developed for you. Teachers are from School of Carolina Ballet Theatre as well as guest teachers from all over the world. S.T.A.G.E.D. members will be offered workshops throughout the year in various dance forms and subjects broadening the view to aspiring young dancers. In short, it will provide opportunities for you to perform. What will I gain from the S.T.A.G.E.D program?First and foremost, S.T.A.G.E.D. will be fun and rewarding! One of the goals is to learn to have an achievable goal. Process rather than product based ideology gives young mind and bodies the value of being a good learner. You will also develop a better understanding and appreciation for your art form, dance. S.T.A.G.E.D. members will learn new repertory, experience performing and uncover the elements that make up this performing art form. You will be a part of a learning community of peers with a focus on social components so important to this age group. How much does the S.T.A.G.E.D program cost?There is a fee of $350 for the program. This fee pays for the additional classes provided and the costumes for the various performances. Any workshop, entrance fees, hotel and food costs will be in addition to the $350. What performance opportunities will I have?There are two Carolina Ballet Theatre productions this season that cast dancers this age and level. You maybe involved in one or even both of these excellent productions: Piccolo Spoletto focuses primarily on artists of the Southeast region. This would be a trip to beautiful Charleston!
